Ames Fund: To encourage, promote, and to support RIYC and community sailors in pursuit of the enhancement and enjoyment of amateur sailing competition.This fund has been established in the name of the late William L Ames, a past long time member, trustee, twenty two years as Treasurer, Past Commodore, avid successful sailor, and a significant contributor to the success of Ram Island Yacht Club (RIYC) and amateur sailing, both racing and cruising, in the New England Region.. This fund shall be supported solely by individual voluntary contributions from members of RIYC and people in the New England sailing community. All funds will be maintained in a separate account in the name of The Ames Fund and will not be co-mingled with RIYC finances or funds in anyway. A member of RIYC appointed by the Trustees will administer the funds. Donations to the fund will be solicited annually and can be made at any time during the year.
