Ram Island hosts three regattas each year:

Austin LaFrance Regatta

Optis – July 9, 2024

The Austin LaFrance Opti Regatta is open to all age eligible sailors with class legal Optis. We have a separate Green Fleet and start the Red, Blue & White Fleets together. Scoring is done overall and trophies are awarded to fleet leaders. We sometimes have over 90 sailors so we encourage carpooling and towing. We use three minute dinghy starts and try to get in as many races as conditions permit.

Salle Evelyn Regatta

420s - July 25, 2024

The Salle Evelyn Regatta is open to all sailors with Club 420s and will be hosted by Groton Long Point YC. We use three minute dinghy starts and try to get in as many races as conditions permit.

Ram Island Regatta

August 17, 2024 at RIYC

The 78th Ram Island Invitational Regatta is open to all boats with a minimum length of 18 ft, with handicap and one-design classes based on competitor interest.

The Notice of Race (NoR), notice board, registered boats, and registration will be available on yachtscoring.com

Final classes will be determined by the Race Committee. Courses are planned around Fishers Island and in Fishers Island Sound.
