Our pick for the May bookclub is; “Buckeye” by Patrick Ryan. We will be meeting on Monday May 18 at 6:00pm at the club.
Buckeye is a novel (historical fiction) that follows 2 Midwestern couples from a small(fictional) town in Ohio. The time span is from WWII through the 1980’s. “It is a character-driven saga exploring war, trauma, infertility, adoption and the consequences of bad decisions.”
“The book is praised for its character development but also features intense emotional storylines involving personal tragedies and moral dilemmas.”
