Old-fashioned Summer Pig Roast

Join Hosts, John and Lauren Watson, for a pig roast and BBQ. 

Prospective members Ted and Chrissie Rathjen have run barbeques for hundreds of people at clubs and charities for more than 20 years.
Mark and Mary Lou Svencer are also committee members. 

 

Dress Casual, VERY Casual

On the menu:

  • Pork, cooked all day over smoke and coals and freshly pulled
  • Barbequed Chicken Thighs
  • Choice of plain, Carolina vinegar sauce, or dry rub seasoning
  • Smokey Baked Beans (vegetarian and carnivore versions)
  • Warm German Potato Salad
  • Coleslaw
  • Cornbread
  • Beer, Wine, Bar and Soft Drinks
Boxes will be provided for meals to go and leftovers (if there are any!)


$20 per person on line, first 100 people.

Please sign up by August 7th so we can order the right amount of food. 
(The butcher needs several days of advanced notice to get the right size pig. )

Online Registration Requirement:
We are recommending that everyone RSVP/Register and prepay on the RIYC Website so that we ensure there is enough food for all. Additionally, we are requesting that volunteers attending for free also register (select pay at door and the balance will be credited). If you do not know or have forgotten your username or password, you can simply click "forgot my username or password" to obtain these.

COVID Guidance:
As in the past, we strongly recommend everyone be COVID-19 Vaccinated and Boostered for the event. We are asking for personal responsibility and that everyone attends at their own risk. If you are not feeling well, please stay home.
