The Salle Evelyn Regatta is open to all sailors with class legal Blue Jays or Club 420s.
As part of the Salle Evelyn Regatta, we are pleased to welcome Ram Island Jr. Sailing graduate and 2008 Olympic sailing hopeful Erin Maxwell. Erin and Isabelle Kinsolving (from Fisher’s Island) are just back from Portugal where they finished 10th in the Women’s 470 Class World Championship. Their performance qualifies the USA to send a women’s 470 team to the Olympics in China. On Thursday Erin will be on our race course observing during part of the regatta and will have a short debrief for the sailors before awards. Erin will also talk about the path to the Olympics and what junior sailors with possible Olympic aspirations may want to think about and work on. Hopefully Erin’s the latest batch of campaign t-shirts will be ready by then too. See you there!
We use three minute dinghy starts and try to get in as many races as conditions permit.
